So how cool is this?

The Chainsmokers just happened to show up at an Illinois High School’s prom last night!

The boys were set to perform at the Allstate Arena across the street from the high school and decided to give the students a 10 minute performance of their hit song, ‘Closer’.

Damnit Maurie talked to Zack, one of the students who will never forget this incredible moment at his prom! Zack tells us “They came out on stage right at the beginning, before we even ate”. Zack goes on to say ” They yelled out ‘Hey, homie, were the Chainsmokers’ and everyone went crazy!” His date almost missed the performance when she almost left to go to the bathroom, “My date went to go to the bathroom, and one of the teachers was kinda hinting at it, ‘no you don’t want to go to the bathroom right now, just go back to your seat’ and no one expect it” This is something Zack will never forget saying “I still can’t get over the fact that they were even there! I still keep on replaying it in my head”

 

 

 

A Huntley High School student apparently helped create the amazing moment, this according to principal Scott Rowe who told The Daily Herald, “About two weeks ago I got this random phone call that I happened to answer, and on the other end this person said ‘This is going to be the strangest call you’ve ever received, but one of your students actually sent an email to the manager of the band.’”
