Around 2 months ago the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks called Steve Sir, an Edmonton born pro athlete. He was asked if he’d like to play for their summer league team!

In an interview with the CBC Steve said;

“They asked. ‘Is this something you would want to do?’ I immediately said, ‘Yes’.”

Steve Sir has played in Canada, Mexico and Europe throughout his 9 year career. The interesting part is that he’s 33. In many pro sports, 33 could be called a retiring age.

But no matter the age, the NBA came a calling since Steve is an incredibly talented 3 point shooter.

And here’s a fun fact, Steve’s career started at Ross Sheppard High School! And he continues to hold the American college record for the highest percentage in three-point shooting!

“With the emphasis right now on the three-point shot in the NBA, of spacing the floor and creating more space for guys to get to the rim, the need for shooting is at an all-time high,” Sir told Edmonton AM’s Mark Connolly Monday.

“It comes at an interesting time where I’m a little older, but I still shoot the ball at an efficient level.”

YEAH! Go STEVE! YAY EDMONTON!
