Edmonton has a new FREE app that could save you from future tickets, backed up traffic and bad weather.

Yesterday the City of Edmonton launched an app that will warn drivers of:

  • School zones
  • Speed limit changes
  • High-collision locations
  • Weather factors (freezing rain)
  • Traffic disruptions
  • Seasonal considerations (school is back in)
  • Enforcement (Big Ticket Event)

The SmartTravel App for Edmonton is hands free, so you won’t be a distracted driver, and will verbally tell you of the above warnings so as to prevent you from getting into accidents or getting a ticket.

You can get the  app on iOS through the App Store, and through Google Play.

More details and links to download can be found on Edmonton.ca.
