My first child is making a comeback!

Okay, that is probably a tad excessive seeing as I don’t have any kids, but I sure treated these toys like they were my own.

The digital company, Bandai has announced a re-launch of the popular 90s gadget Tamagotchi; the digital pet was first released in Japan back in 1996 and was previously resurrected in 2013 with updated creatures and graphics.

The 2017 version will be smaller and cheaper than the original ones but you can expect to take care of them in the same way you once did!

If you don’t remember what a Tamagotchi was, the toy allowed users to “raise” their little creature from its infancy and you basically acted like a parent; users could feed and play with their digital pet, taking care of it as if it were real (AND THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY REAL TO ME!).

The toy is right now available in Japan for about $24 and there is no word on when it will be made available in Canada but if there really is a Santa Claus, you can hopefully expect a little creature in your stocking come Christmas (fingers crossed)!’
