Prepare for your jaws to hit the freakin’ floor.

Bekah Martinez—a frontrunner on this season of The Bachelor (despite being 14 years younger than Arie)—was listed as a missing person in Humboldt County, Calif. until YESTERDAY.

The North Coast Journala local publication, shared that Martinez’s mom reported her missing on Nov. 18, 2017 after not having heard from her daughter since Nov. 12.

According to Mama M., Bekah said she was headed to Humboldt to work on a marijuana farm.

The only reason Humboldt County officials “found” Bekah was because the North Coast Journal shared a cover story about those listed as missing in the region, called “The Humboldt 35,” to Facebook—and asked readers whether they knew anything about any of those 35 people.

One eagle-eyed reader, Amy Bonner O’Brien, casually commented, “Yup, Rebekah Martinez is on this season of The Bachelor…”

Is Ashton Kutcher about to jump out of our computer screens and tell us we’ve been pranked???

It gets weirder. According to the North Coast Journal, a deputy at the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office  then called up Bekah and confirmed it was her. Case closed, we guess, although we have to wonder whether anyone was actually looking for her in the first place.

As for what this means for the outcome of season 22?  As the North Coast Journal notes, Bekah posted a message on Instagram on Sept. 17 to tell her followers that she was going offline for several weeks—so this was likely when The Bachelor started filming. The fact that she went MIA in November could signal that Bekah doesn’t end up with Arie after all. Or, depending on when filming wrapped, maybe she went *so* off-the-grid in an attempt to keep her ’ship with Arie under wraps that even her mom didn’t know where she was.

This is weird, y’all.
