The VMAs aired last night…and it was an interesting night, needless to say.

First off, can I just say – is it just me or is it SO much better without a host? I found that the night went by a lot faster and smoother with no actual host this year. Loved that! (Hint hint other award shows….)

Cardi B started off by doing a quick little speech in the beginning of the show. Jokes on us, she didn’t bring out Kulture and she didn’t perform.

But. she looked fab and took home some awards – so we’ll allow it.

Shawn Mendes was a doll the entire night and basically any time the camera went to him, my heart melted a little more.

I mean, LOOK AT THAT FACE. Melting.

Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande were goals as usual. When she went up on stage to accept her award For No Tears Left to Cry winning Best Pop.

She looked at Pete and said. “thank you for existing” and it was the cutest thing in the world. :’)

She also lit up the stage with her performance of ‘God Is A Woman’

This was my favourite moment of the VMAs…when the ICON herself, JLo, showed up on stage and performed every hit…JA RULE EVEN SHOWED UP. Like, take me back to 2001. I was in heaven!

Madonna paid tribute to Aretha Franklin by talking about her trip to France…

Camila Cabello took home the VMA for ‘Video of The Year’ for Havana!

She even tweeted at her past self about the experience.

Okay that is all. Until next year! <3
