If you ever needed a new break up anthem or a song that could help you get passed an ex boyfriend or girlfriend, well Ariana Grande is helping you out with the release of her new single, “Thank You, Next”.

On the new track, Ariana name drops some of her exes including Big Sean, the late Mac Miller and her most recent ex, fiancé Pete Davidson,

“Thought I’d end up with Sean, but he wasn’t a match. Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh / Even almost got married, and for Pete I’m so thankful, Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm, cause he was an angel.”

She goes on to say that she learned something from each of them,

“One taught me love / one taught me patience / one taught me pain / now I’m so amazing”.

She goes on to say that since her latest breakup with Pete Davidson, that she’s in a much better space,

“Spend more time with my friends / I ain’t worried about nothing’ / plus I met someone else, we havin’ better discussions”

On “Thank You, Next”, Ariana says she’s hopeful that one day she will walk down the aisle and get married and that she’s a little tired of all the bad that has encompassed her life over the last few years. On the bright side though as she sings, she’s making good music,

“Only wanna do it once / real bad, Gon’ make that shit last / God forbid something happens / Least this song is a smash”.

She isn’t wrong either, this song is absolutely FIRE and her fans are LOVING it…

Ari had been teasing the new single for quite a while now and the timing of the record is interesting as it dropped minutes before the latest Saturday Night Live episode; Davidson appeared in a promo for the episode where he joked about being engaged to Ariana , to which she took exception and tweeted back at him,

According to tweets, “Thank You, Next” will appear on Ari’s forthcoming album and may also even be the title of the project.

Whatever it is, I’m HERE FOR IT.

Ari isn’t holding back and I love it.

Can we also talk about how utterly disrespectful that “,” is in “Thank You, Next”? LOVE IT.
