Drake is coming close to finishing his tour with the three amigos and during his concert stop in Edmonton earlier this week, he announced that as soon as the tour ends, he’s taking time and … get ready … making another new album!

Drake announced, “Six shows left.  I guess most people would go on a vacation, or I don’t know what they do … but I’mma tell you what I’m gonna do.  Because I keep having nights like this that remind me why I love my job so much, I promise you that as soon as this tour is over – and maybe I’ll take, like, a little break – I’mma get right to work on a new album, so we can be right back here … and have a new party.”

Drake’s next studio album will be the follow-up to Scorpion which was released earlier this year.  And it looks like his new album may (or may not) be with Cash Money Records, considering he has completed his contract with the record company.  On a track called ‘Is There More,’ Drake raps, “Soon as the album drop, I’m out of the deal” however, according to Variety, a source informed them back in July that Drake has ‘no plans on leaving.’

Whatever the case is, I’m excited for some new music from the 6 God!
