We’re days away from Alessia Cara’s second studio album called ‘The Pains of Growing’ and in the meantime, Alessia dropped a brand new video for another banger off of the new album called ‘Not Today.’

Watch Alessia with mascara running down her face as she sings about moving past a heartbreak following a breakup.  “Someday I won’t be afraid of my head, someday I will not be chained to my bed.  Someday I’ll forget the day he left, but surely not today.”

In a recent post on the gram, Alessia writes, “Had a lot of fun making this video. the whole thing is inspired by Wes Anderson and I wanted to throw in some references to his movies.  See if you can catch them.  Thanks @aar0n_a as always for being the movie magician.”

Alessia’s much anticipated album will drop on November 30 and she wrote the entire album herself.  Earlier in the year, Alessia told Rolling Stone, “I just thought, there’s no better person to write this than me. It was so personal to me. It was a really sacred thing; I didn’t want anyone to know exactly what I was going through.  When you have full control, you can give away as much as you want to give away, and be as honest as you want and you know what it means and no one understands you better than you.  Also, I really thought it’d be cool to have a nice challenge to see if I can write something, like a whole project, on my own.  It’s something that I wanted to see if I could do.”
