1. Super glue a pizza box closed, then try to keep a straight face as your kid struggles to get the box open.

To make this prank especially convincing, do two things: 1. Put something like a cutting board inside the box to weigh it down, and 2. Order an actual pizza so the house smells like the real deal (and so you can give them a slice post-prank)!

2. This one’s really easy and really fun — put jelly beans in your ice dispenser.

3. Put lotion on your kid’s door knob so they can’t open it.

To play it safe, put the lotion on the outside of the door so your kid can't get in. But you can also put it on the inside of their door — giving your kid fits as they try to get out of their room, LOL — if you think they're up for it!

4. Remember when Jim pranked Dwight on The Office by putting his stapler in Jell-O? Well, you can prank your kid the same way, but instead of using a stapler, try using an action figure or other small toy.

5. While we’re talking about Jell-O — Serve your kid a glass of “Kool-Aid” or “juice” (that is really Jell-O).

That first sip will be classic. Learn how to do this here.

Pick up your kids from school, announce you got them sushi as an afternoon snack. Then, when you get home, reveal the sushi is actually made of…candy!

Find out the fun recipe for how to make this — with stuff like Rice Krispies treats, Fruit Roll-Ups, and Swedish Fish — at Teach Mama.

7. Make a batch of “booger slime,” hide it in a napkin, then pretend to sneeze really loudly into the napkin before showing your kids the napkin’s gross contents.

Parents don't love slime, but kids do, so they will LOVE this prank. You can even let them play with the slime afterward. Learn how to make it at The Craft Patch.

8. Here’s another gross one — if you rip up a toilet paper roll, wet it, and then mash it together, it looks exactly like, well…

9. Surprise your kid with a big box of their favorite fast food, then REALLY surprise them by filling it up with vegetables.

And hey, if you want to be nice you can always let them eat the original contents once you've all had a good laugh.

10. Tell your kids you made cake pops, then try to hide your smile as they crunch into a chocolate-covered Brussels sprout instead.

Pick up a couple cake pops at Starbucks (or wherever else) so you can quickly swap out your kid's prank cake pop for a real one!

11. You can also make a plate of “sponge brownies.”

12. Speaking of brownies, you can always pull the classic “there’s a pan of brown E’s on the counter” prank.
