The best part about planning a wedding has to be the registry. Think about it; it’s all the stuff you’re going to receive that you would most likely never by yourself, and those are the best gifts.

But what is everyone putting on their registry? This.

That’s right. The mixer every adult dreams of, the KitchenAid Artisan Series 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer.

According to The Knot, 87 percent of couples registries had the KitchenAid mixer as the number one item, followed by other kitchen related items: stainless steel measuring cups, a set of Pyrex containers, a toaster and Ninja blender.

The study also found that cash registries are very much on the rise, with 37 percent of couples opting for a cash option, up from 27 percent in 2017. People are also opting out of receiving gifts at all! 11 percent of couples have instead insisted their guests donate to their charity of choice to support as their main registry.

But for those of you who love giving thoughtful gifts, the survey shows gift registries still reign supreme. Because come on, there’s nothing like starting your new life with a bunch of new stuff.
