Are you ready for a new Selena Gomez era? Selena visited The Tonight Show this week (Dec. 5) and confirmed that new music is on the way.  When Jimmy Fallon asked if ‘there’s any truth behind the speculation that she’s dropping new music following the release of ‘My Mind & Me,’ Selena responded, “That’s accurate.”

“I’m so used to writing sad-girl songs, but I’m ready to have some fun and I think people are going to like it,” Selena tells Jimmy.  The big question is, when can fans expect to hear this new music? Selena shared, “Hopefully next year.”

Aside from a new album, Selena teased a possible tour saying, “Maybe! I know. I should, right?”  Selena’s appearance on The Tonight Show comes a month after dropping her documentary, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.  “My ultimate dream is that I am able to save people’s lives through something, whether it’s a song, music or it’s just me speaking about the troubles, trials and tribulations I have been through.  I could be a voice for others who maybe don’t know what’s going on or what they are feeling,” she shared in the doc.

And while on The Tonight Show, Selena revealed she had a childhood crush on Cole Sprouse, “Yes, I did… and my first kiss was his brother! On TV! They wrote it in the script that way.”  Jimmy asked if ‘whether or not she had hoped to get the kissing scene with Cole instead of Dylan,’ Selena admitted, “I can’t say that. That wasn’t what it was. I think I felt much better that it wasn’t him ’cause I think I would have probably been an idiot.”
