Cardi B is commemorating the sixth anniversary of her debut album, “Invasion of Privacy,” while also giving fans a sneak peek into what’s next.

Released in 2018, “Invasion of Privacy” made a grand entrance by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and clinching a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards. The album boasts chart-topping hits like “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It,” both of which reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 singles chart.

The rapper took a moment to reflect on the success of her inaugural studio album in a post on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday (April 6). In her heartfelt message, she dropped hints about what fans can anticipate from her eagerly awaited second album.

“6 years ago I released my first album and it broke so many records GAH LEE!!” she exclaimed. “6 years later I’m preparing to drop the next one this year… it’s so different from what everyone is expecting and I’m sooo excited.”

Expressing gratitude to her supporters, Cardi added, “Love you guys and thank you for the support! I’ll talk to ya soon I been so busy these last few days.”

Cardi recently treated fans to the single “Enough (Miami)” on March 15, accompanied by a music video directed by Patience Harding. This release followed closely on the heels of her drop of “Like What (Freestyle)” two weeks prior.

Additionally, she lends her talents to “Puntería,” the opening track from Shakira’s latest album, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” released on March 22.

As for the highly anticipated follow-up to “Invasion of Privacy,” Cardi B’s next album is yet to receive an official release date, leaving fans eagerly awaiting its arrival.
