Yesterday, September 29th, was Halsey’s birthday. On her most recent LP Manic, she has a song called “929” which explains it’s title right at the begining of the song:

“I really was born at 9:29 a.m. on 9/29”.

So for her birthday, she released the music video for “929” which is full of her old home videos.

The video is centered in a childhood bedroom with her memories appearing on the walls from a projector. The videos match up strongly with the lyrics of the song as Halsey remembers her past, “and I remember this girl with pink hair in Detroit”.

She also references a time in her life that she focused on in her song Eastside with Khalid and Benny Blanco.

“Can’t remember half the time that I’ve been alive, ’cause half was in a cheap apartment and half was on the Eastside”.
